| After 15 years of heavy use, the process of rebuilding the much-loved but well-worn Great Wonders Playground in Andrews Park is underway. The park is still usable and quite popular, but is in need of repair. Leathers Associates, selected by the City to design the new playground, has been meeting with Vacaville schoolchildren to learn what the children would like to see included in the project. Leathers Associates was instrumental in building the original playground in 1993. $150,000 has been contributed by the City of Vacaville. Vacaville Sunrise Rotary has pledged to raise additional funds for the project. |
